Anoubis is an user-optimised Security Suite which implements a strongly secured runtime environment for applications. All aspects of Security Management are addressed by Anoubis. The core of the Security Suite is an Application Firewall alongside with a Sandbox which is able to run applications in a contained environment. Beyond that, mechanisms to assure the authenticity of files, directories and applications are provided. The suite is completed by a feature called playground, which allows you to contain any filesystem changes performed by a program. The measures taken to improve the security of the runtime environment are intended for desktop as well as server systems.
