Introduction
For each user the ALF module manages a set of application dependent firewall rules. In addition a set of administrator rules exists which take precedence over the user rules.
The ALF filters all incoming and outgoing network connections of applications and enforces the action of the concerning rule. This enables connections to be allowed or prohibited. By changing the ruleset current connections may be broken.
